Woman Walks Ahead
This gorgeously photographed female-centric Western is set during the waning days of the U.S. military campaign to slaughter and subdue Native Americans. Based on a true story, wealthy New York widow Catherine Weldon (Jessica Chastain) is an artist in the 1890’s who decides to walk away from her privileged lifestyle and heads west. to Dakota. She has a passionate belief in the Native American cause and an ambition to paint a portrait of Hunkpapa Lakota holy man Sitting Bull. While there she becomes embroiled in the Lakota peoples’ struggle over the rights to their land. (Also stars Sam Rockwell and Michael Greyeyes.)

Two Strangers Meet Five Times
Alistair and Samir meet five different times, but it is only when they meet as old men that they can finally put their prejudices aside and meet as friends. This film champions friendship and compassion over separation and distrust.
