The Song of Sway Lake
Ollie Sway’s father was a record collector; a passion he passed down to his son. They shared a mutual devotion to the idea that preserving records preserves art and beauty so it can live on. After Ollie’s father commits suicide, Ollie teams up with his new friend from Russia to steal a rare and priceless 78 vinyl record, (an original pressing of “The Song of Sway Lake” which made the lake famous) from his family’s lake house. The film’s theme of longing to recapture better days is hauntingly underscored by fantastic music in the film.
It’s a party in 1936…. Or is it?
