Dr Janna Jones is a screenwriter and a professor in creative media and film in the school of communication at Northern Arizona University. She teaches screenwriting, media history, and produces award winning student films. She received her PhD at the University of South Florida. Jones has authored numerous articles on the social history of cinema along with her two books: The Southern Movie Palace: Rise, Fall, and Resurrection and The Past is a Moving Picture: Preserving the Twentieth Century on Film. Jones is the 2017 Dow Visiting Scholar and has several screenplays in either development or preproduction.
